02Why teach with us

Six things we promise.

We’re building Linguify for the language teachers we wanted to work with ourselves. Here’s what that commits us to.

I01

Your hours

Set your own schedule, cancel when life happens, work from anywhere with wifi. No minimums, no quotas.

II02

Your rate

Set your own hourly rate. We suggest a range based on your experience and language — but the number is always yours to choose.

III03

No cold start

Our AI matches motivated learners to you based on level, goals, and style. You don't hunt — we bring the class.

IV04

We handle the admin

Scheduling, payments, taxes, lesson reminders, cancellations. You teach. We do the paperwork.

V05

Teach with AI, not against it

Our AI preps students between your lessons, so they arrive warmed up. You spend your time on the real work — conversation, correction, encouragement.

VI06

Shape the platform

As a founding tutor, you'll have a direct line to the team. We're building Linguify with our tutors, not at them — your feedback goes straight into the product.

03The path in

From hello to your first students, in about two weeks.

015 min

Apply

Fill in the short form below. Five minutes, no CV required — we just want to hear your voice.

02~1 week

Onboarding

A 30-minute call with the Linguify team to set up your profile, rates, and teaching preferences.

03~2 weeks total

First students

Your first students land on your schedule within days. You can open or close your calendar anytime.

04ongoing, optional

First-class monitoring

Your early lessons come with quiet, friendly monitoring — we'll share what's working, what's confusing students, and how to sharpen it. Think notes from a coach, not a manager.

04Ask us anything

The questions we’re asked most.

A. Not strictly. We welcome tutors with at least a year of teaching experience — in a classroom, online, or one-on-one — and native speakers with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for teaching. Warmth and clarity matter more to us than any certificate.

A. All of them, but we're especially looking for less commonly taught languages — Welsh, Swahili, Basque, Tagalog, Yoruba, Icelandic, Farsi. If you can teach it fluently, we want to hear from you.

A. That's up to you — you set your own hourly rate, and we're happy to share ranges and guidance during onboarding based on your language and experience. We'll be transparent about the platform fee when you apply; we won't spring anything on you later.

A. Zero minimums. You open your calendar for whenever you're available. Some tutors teach 3 hours a week for pocket money, others do 30+ as their full-time work. Your call, every week.

A. A laptop or tablet, a decent microphone (your phone headphones are fine to start), a quiet room, and reliable wifi. That's it — we handle the video platform, scheduling, lesson materials, and payments.

A. Our AI preps your students between lessons — vocabulary drills, grammar practice, conversational warm-ups based on what you covered. You see their AI session summaries before each lesson so you know exactly where to pick up. Think of the AI as your quiet, tireless teaching assistant.

A. Absolutely. You set your own hours and can pause your calendar entirely whenever you need to — whether that's around a day job, a PhD, caring for family, or another teaching role. No minimum commitment.

A. No contracts, no lock-ins. Close your calendar any time. We'll be sad to see you go — but we'd rather have a tutor who's genuinely happy to be here.
